2011 World Mental Health Day events and activities

Visit the Cambridgeshire Celebrates Age website: http://www.cambsca.org.uk/  which lists events running throughout the county, in the second half of September and throughout October, promoting the well-being of older people. It also lists activities that run throughout the year.

 

Monday 10 October 2011, 5.30pm to 6.30pm

Event: ‘Are we all a bit bipolar?’ – talk on bipolar disorder by Dr Neil Hunt, consultant psychiatrist at CPFT, in partnership with the Manic Depressive Fellowship (MDF). Teas, coffees and biscuits available from 5.15pm. This talk is open to all members of the public, free of charge. There is also the opportunity to meet governors and directors of CPFT.

Thursday 20th October

Event: Lifecraft’s Open Day, 11am to 5pm. Doors open at 11am. Drop-in any time and no need to book. Delicious buffet lunch served at 12.30pm. At 2pm immerse yourself in a unique and deeply relaxing performance of piano ‘soaking music’ played by Peter Shearer: www.petrapeace.co.uk and at 4pm experience the peace and calm of meditation. Come along and enjoy. As well as talk to our staff and members about the services we have on offer, including weekly groups and activities, peer-led recovery groups and projects, counselling and our member employment scheme.
